MEAKIN ON TWO EASY
Keith & Pam's worldwide sailing trip

About the Trip

Keith and Pam plan to set sail mid June 2006. Firstly to ‘beach’ the cat at Ilfracombe in order to anti-foul the bottoms and carry out general pre-sail maintenance.

From there a local waters trip is planned as part of the Celtic Raid 2006 event which they will pick up in Milford Haven on 30th June.

This event should take them to Brittany by 8th August after which charts will be studied and sailing plans made to sail across the Bay of Biscay in August and down through Spain / Portugal for a little R & R.

Next across to Porta Santa / Madeira and on to the Canaries for Christmas and more R & R.

From there, across the Atlantic via Cape Verde isles and onto Tobago / Trinidad for carnival 2007.

Famous last words to friends in Tobago in October 2005 when Keith and Pam got married were “next time you see us we‘ll be anchoring in Store Bay (Tobago)!”

From there further plans will be made for the onward journey.

About Two Easy

Two Easy has recently undergone an extensive refit with most of her interior and exterior receiving attention. This has included hull respray, replacement of all soft furnishings, addition of teak and holly flooring throughout, replacement heads, new sink, oven, hot water system, battery management system and navigation instruments, all new running rigging and standing rigging. A water maker awaits installation, all lamps to be changed to LEDs.

Two Easy was launched in 1989 and is a Dutch design by Veneema, she was renamed Two Easy when she moved to UK waters in 2000.

Keith and Pam acquired the catamaran in July 2005, sailing it from brokerage in Chichester to Bristol in 6 days with friend Roger and Pam’s son Liam as crew. Arriving in Bristol in time for the harbour festival and won best sail boat category with a fine piece of Bristol Blue glass to show for it.
